But surely the speedy trial act couldn’t nullify (the longer) statute of limitations to just keep reattempting?
I'm not a STA expert, but the absence of a grand jury indictment by the speedy trial clock means any felony criminal complaint gets dismissed and so he would no longer be under probation or bail restrictions and just be a regular unindicted human being. (Unless there was a misdemeanor complaint)
