Even if that were the case, that's still a very silly, nonsense statement. Newsom is the governor of the third-largest and one of the most densely-populated states in the country, and he didn't win that office, or any of his prior ones, by accident. Never mind successfully fighting off a recall.

And if he was unlikely to win anything but New Jersey he would be unlikely to win the primary, in which case the argument is even more silly. Like saying "I will never vote for George Clooney."

Thing I will throw into the pot here. Black folks never once got to vote for a candidate we consider an unequivocable good even Obama got side eye (not without reason). And as I said in another post I don't think Newsom is a long term problem. Long way to go!
