The c-word is the atom bomb of gendered insults in the U.S. (I gather it's different in the U.K.) it's explicitly femaleness as a slur, saying that a woman is nothing but an orifice to be used by men.

In Britain, it is barely gendered and can mean anything from 'best friend' to 'deadly foe' with a side of general punctuation use.
