This. It's never been about citizens rising up to topple a tyrannical government. That was cover for $$$ from gun sales and making people angry and fearful.

Maybe, but if organized... and armed, people with pistols and rifles can keep them (somewhat) in check. Maybe it's already a lost cause, but I like the idea of being able to protect my family and property and not have to rely on a corrupt govt (local, state or federal).

Not what happened with disarmament campaigns around the world, which translated into a decrease in violence. Maybe it would be different in the US, the tyrannical government can kill millions in west Asia and no revolt, but the red line might be not being able to shoot at things & people anymore 🤷🏼♀️

I'm not going to say I'm informed enough about how this worked in other parts of the world, but I have to believe it's more complicated than just - remove guns and violence decreases... again, I don't know. Just sharing an opinion that I (usually) hope is wrong.
