What if I made it so in my game you could print out your deck to play with it in paper? Or at least outputting a printable file. That feels like a sweet 90s vibe to me.

will it need special proprietary paper like Barbie Fashion Designer?
Maybe you need to go a store and print at a kiosk like pokemon snap
Ooh, how about special memory cards you can download your deck to, like the old SNK machines? Visit the kiosk to print your deck, or get special cards when an expansion drops. And then a separate battle table kiosk for in-person duels.
Ah, the awesome things we could've done if we were billionaires a couple decades ago. Fortune is truly wasted on the rich.
To be fair we could still do it if we were rich now. It is astounding though how rich people have absolutely zero creativity whatsoever. Spending lifetimes of money on like, the most boring mansion.
This is one of the features I loved in Shenzen I/O. Always find it extra dope when the game makes the real world diegetic.
And also not particularly difficult to implement probably
Ideally, you'd export as a bunch of PNGs or whatever, so that people can either print them or import them into a virtual tabletop
I feel like you would want it as a sheet and not like, individual pngs, no?
Well I guess it wouldn't be too hard to do both
If you have an option for individual PNGs, you can then import them into the VTT using whatever method that VTT prefers. So yea, good option.
TCG on the side. I did that with my game as well but it didn't make it past the next build xD. It could definitely work though
Well the whole game is a TCG. And designed to be playable in paper. So it can't be that hard to output some images
Not at all. Adjust the ruleset a bit (unless you don't have to) for irl play and it's good to go. We could always use more card games lol
Doesn't need adjusted, it was designed for paper
That sounds like a cool entertaining gimmic? OH! What if you add a downloadable art-book DLC type thing, a PDF or something, but instead of art it is all cards pictures for each page, and a few pages instructions on how to make and manage your deck so the person can play IRL?
I know one Game that is a visual novel game based on RPGs added a DLC that was al downloadable maps and NPC pages and player character sheets on a PDF so people can play a Pathfinder style campaigns of their visual novel game. It was such an awesome idea. Tavern Talk did that.
Well this would just be like making proxies. Which I would encourage people to do anyway.
Well that just sounds like the instruction manual that will exist probably
This is the kind of feature I would go βdβawww, thatβs so cute!!!β And personally probably never use But I know others who would use it!
That's what I'm assuming most people would do. But it would fit the over all *vibe*
And it wouldn't be like, that hard to just export some images
