We haven’t seen much of Trump and if that picture was of him, he didn’t take time to put on makeup. I believe Putin told him that he was not gonna be invited to the party.
26 nations met to discuss the US and it's absurd president, then the reasons to pull away from the US as it can no longer be trusted. Shake my head 🥴😵💫
The GOP win on messaging & repeating. Here is our message US vs THEM Class War Poor vs Rich Repeat Repeat Repeat Finally, stop letting Oligarch owned news outlets push their propaganda.Stop letting them tell us what we should B pissed off about.TURN THEM OFF they R undemocratic liars cons thiefs.
Exactly!! No civil war. CLASS war!
Not only will US consumers pay for some or all of this additional cost, it'll be harder for US businesses to export their now more expensive products made from more expensive components. Companies will then try to recoup losses by laying off workers and running faster towards AI.
Tariffs won't cost them a dime. They'll pass them on to their customers.
They cannot pass them all along. either way, they have to be paid at import-upfront-many businesses do not have that much capital & it is a risk to borrow it. consumers are reducing spending. None of these numbers account for the major shrinkage in spend by business that is killing all businesses
"He's the business man's best friend.... remember the last 2 elections where this was said. 🤣🤣🤣
Winning. So much winning.
But but the DonOld administration says that tariffs have raised billions and produced thousands of jobs and Trump isn’t in the Epstein files.
But Mexico is paying for the wall!
Funny how this report by big money comes out only after the courts ruled the tariffs illegal.
Oligarchy got tired of buying the up and coming competition. Now they're just going to bankrupt them to secure their monopolies.
Sorry for the random approach You seem to be an ambitious individual which gives me the idea to know if you're open minded to look a new way of generating an income, It may or may not be a fit for you, but if I send you some info, would you check it out?
Worth repeating: Tariff's are a consumer tax on goods. They apply to everyone who buys anything. They are meant to offset Trump's lowering of income tax on the rich and super rich. Himself and his bros. Rob from the poor (and the middle class), give to the rich. The art of the steal.
[cough]
Mid-size businesses face foreclosure is more like it
Since December '24, cost of commercial rooftop units are up 20%, metal buildings are up 18%, electrical gear is up 20 to 30%. Also high risk for prolonged labor strikes for union trades with contracts due on July 1st 2026
And small and mid size farmers will lose their land.
*consumers.
Ok, but screw Axios.....
None of those Billions seems to actually make it into the Treasury. Straight up Robbery.
This is capitalism functioning as intended. The more powerful capitalist lords are getting the government to get rid of their competition so they can further consolidate power.
All they care about is our money. Don't give it to the oligarchs! At least only buy from small businesses (preferably owned by anyone but a white dude).
Trump & Republicans have drastically increased the people tax burdens while gutting the government services we all use The Republicans claim to be anti tax, really they are just anti corporate tax & anti taxing the rich while destroying the average American tax payer with extreme taxation
if tariffs are bad, why do so many countries have tariffs on American goods? eliminate all tariffs
Nice idea, and a good one. Merely entirely impractical, as other countries make their own laws.
Today is the day we take to the streets fiftyfifty.one for local details
This eradicates the middle class.
It’s as if the drunkest guy at the party shouldn’t be driving.
I love this for America, and I'm American. This might finally be what convinces the average Republican voter, who has consistently voted against their own interests for decades, that they've been voting for the wrong side.
Tariffs are taxes.
Correction: their customers face $82.3 Billion tariff-tax tab. And it's shared equally among all their customers, the low wage earners and the multi-billionaires like Elon Musk, the single mothers and their billionaire landlords. Regressive enough for ya?!? bsky.app/profile/thet...
And most will hit the wall . .
If only the courts could do their courting a bit quicker. I don't understand when a court rules an action illegal, but decides to let the law keep being broken for months, on the off chance that the court got it wrong. Shouldn't the default be to stop the action until a final decision is made?
TRANSLATION: (Trump’s) tariff policy will cost AMERICAN CONSUMERS $82.3 billion on products from mid-size businesses.
