Peds or adult rheum?
That's the thing she's 18 so I tried adult. In peds when we refer we are intentionally vague to give the specialist leeway. eg: Referred to derm for nonspecific dermatitis That prevents issues like "My pediatrician referred me for eczema and now you're saying I have psoriasis?"
Yeah that's odd... Did they want anything specific to reconsider?
I wrote a nice letter that I faxed. Who knows if they'll see it or the office manager will trash it. I wasn't mean, I just asked them to reconsider seeing her and gave a more specific diagnosis.
I review ALL my referrals myself to prevent such issues because I can’t expect my MCR to know what we treat or don’t treat. Tbf,we get batshit referrals like high sed rate but PCP forgot that it was drawn during a raging UTI.I get everyone’s busy but when labs come back, maybe check why you drew it?
