As a fellow Canadian, I wonder what Democrats and blue states would do if Trump attacks Canada militarily. Would they stay on the sidelines? Fall behind the "commander in chief"? Or support us? The latter would spark a civil war. The world we've known is unraveling quickly.
I still have hope and faith. Part of me suspects Donald is distracting the world from something else... Keeping us looking in this direction while keeping no one looking behind the curtain. But I also feel strongly, he wants & needs our natural resources.
There is no way Dems or Blue states would support invading or annexing anyone. I'm in a VERY red state that happens to have a tiny border with Canada and I'd be there in a minute to fight against that fascist shit. ✊

As an American, I would join up with Canada and fight the fascist aggressor. It would be the moral thing to do. I know a lot of people that would do so as well. Some of those very same people are in Ukraine fighting against the Putin (aka the Russian Drumpf).

I don't believe it. It's my experience that folks would cheer Canada and make anti invasion posts on social media, but not much more. Just like in the most recent election. A handful act, the others hide behind their cell phones.

How exactly would they do this? Add the Canadian flag to their profile? Make social media posts to say they stand with Canada? We couldn't even keep him out of the oval office despite the fact he's unfit to be in that office. He/Musk controls all branches of Government, the military plus SCOTUS.

I don't know if it would start a civil war, but at least half of Americans won't just stand by and let it happen (we privately and sometimes publicly think of Canada as, potentially, our last refuge should push come to shove). A much smaller number of us would actually take up arms.
