EREVS are the future of big car electrification (inc big rigs) for sure. Can’t think of one OEM that isn’t thinking of EREVS for large SUVs - they just make sense given diminishing returns on battery size

It’s a fine tipping point between them being the best of both worlds or the worst of both worlds. EV with the backup of ICE sounds fine on paper but if your use becomes undersized ICE dragging around an empty battery it’s a very different thing.
