There’s certainly a % of people who feel this way but I think the internet amplifies their voices to make them seem like a larger segment of the country. Unfortunately there’s an equal amount of Americans or more who are apathetic or too worried about living day to day to care about politics.

I guess there is always some room to be hopeful. But I'm surprised how divided the U.S. is. You've probably seen the recent Gallop poll: 93% of Republicans approve of Trump, but only 1% of Democrats. As if we are from different universes.
