Love seeing them 😃
Love seeing them 😃
My dad has a flock that hang out in his yard thru the spring to fall. He regularly updates us. Tried counting them roosting last time but lost track about 23. Fun to watch 3-4 chicks try to get under mom's wing on a single branch 10m up.
That would be something to see 😆
How very cool to meet these gorgeous birds!
It was quite a surprise. I had been hoping to see some but didn’t imagine getting a drive-by by a whole crew!
What a great parade they gave you!
😆 Gotta love em.
CAUTION: Turkey Xing 😂
Hokey smokes, Rocky!!!!!
So many dinosaurs
Dinomania!!! What a THRILL!!!! I love the local herd - they’re hysterical - defending their turf and posing for the hens!!!
Quite a surprise to meet them walking down the trail. They were not in the least concerned about me
They are ALWAYS in charge 😉🤣
That was pretty clear
No sh!t haha. Always.
What the heck is that in the centre of the screen? It looks like a bird with its back to us holding its wings open. Or is it a large fungus? Tree bark?
Just a rock
Oh my goodness, I wouldn't have guessed! It's so angular.
gobble gobble indeed
That's quite a group of turkeys there
reminds me of lynde shores!
Exactly!
Love a turkey gang! When I was a kid, we'd get a bunch in the backyard every year. Made the cats crazy 😂
I can imagine!
I love wild turkeys. Sadly, I haven’t seen any since I moved a couple of years ago. Fun fact - nothing looks stranger than turkeys roosting in a tree.
I’ll bet they look pretty weird in a tree. Never seen that
They roost in our trees out back. When they fly out in the morning it sounds like someone threw a bowling ball through the trees. They aren’t strong fliers.
I've seen them in the pines off my deck a time or two as well. The first time I saw them I thought they were really fat turkey vultures. Nope. Just turkeys. 😆
Same! I was so confused.
Neat!
So cool.
I wish I’d had my camera with me. I wouldn’t have believed it if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes.
One of my favourite aspects of late summer/fall camping is seeing turkeys. And also listening for the shrieks as other campers see the turkeys.
😂
