Bolsonaro and Marcos are first to come to mind. South Africa a pretty good example. The track record of armed revolt against fascism is much worse than the one for peaceful mass protest movements. Fascists have a bad record in interstate armed conflicts, but they fare well in civil wars.

The general strike I was in, when a far right junta attempted a coup. The People had the moral courage to refuse to cooperate with what they knew to be wrong. The junta gave up their coup attempt in 3 days. ussr 19-21 Aug, 1991
