if a foreign government successfully compromised any member of DOGE, this would be exactly one of the things they might have them do for plausible deniability which is why all of DOGE must be audited for compromise for the rest of their lives, they couldn't even pass security background checks
👏
People were reporting various massive data outflows from the fed as they were happening early on, so this isn’t surprising. I suspect it’s only the tip of the iceberg.
I hope by now, everyone has locked down their credit files and taken other electronic and practical safety measures suitable to their situation. If not, I highly encourage folks to do so as a priority.
...and then probably copied into Russian, Chinese, and North Korean intelligence services servers shortly thereafter. SMH.
DOGE is the ultimate in "trust me bro"
Hello, my friend PLEASE DONATE AND REPLY the link donation pinning on my account, I made a difference every dollar 🙏🍉
Whoops-a-daisy. If they hit the ↩️ button it should be fine. Remember these guys are really good at computer-y stuff.
“Mr. Borges did not indicate that the database had been breached or used inappropriately.” Mr Borges doesn’t have access to the doge database-he wouldn’t know, NYT!! 😡
These clowns are going to get us all robbed and/or killed.
"Big Balls" uploaded American's SSNs, DOB, health info, and more into an unauthorized cloud environment. This is a massive crime! PDF Link: whistleblower.org/wp-content/u... DOGE was told they were not authorized to put working data on the cloud…
How else could they give Russia access without leaving digital footprints.
Hard not to see this as tradecraft, yeah?
Update: one possible interrogator of these data would be OTHER GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, who can now use the "business records" provisions of the USA PATRIOT Act to gain information that would previously have been ensconced in their own agencies.
'Am mindful of that term - homegrown terrorists
WHO DID THIS??!!! I want a NAME, god damn it!
Its so funny that there's a starlink ad on the page.
Fire/arrest them.
I read "feather/tar" for a split second. also works.
treason
I bet they did it so BOTH Russia AND corporations could benefit.
This is fine.

In any other presidential administration, this would be a massive scandal In the Trump admin, it's.....checks notes....Tuesday
Doesn’t that violate…never mind, of course it does. The Federal Information Processing Standards. The same standards the government hold banks and financial institutions to.
If this was a company we’d be getting another round of free identity protection for life.
Will they offer us 2 years of security monitoring.
@nytpitchbot.bsky.social worthy
🏆
On the plus side, can ignore all of those "security breach" letters from various companies going forward, since we already know it's breached.
Thank you republicans for allowing a billionaire to run amok through our government. You could have stopped it but didn’t so what did you get in return for selling us out?
For what purpose??
Nobody even knows who runs DOGE. I wonder whom to ask? Elon Musk is clearly unreliable
Oops meant to say That the best question to ask
Can we sue these motherfuckers for gross negligence?
It also says a lot that the supposed boss (with *several* months of experience as a CIO) thinks they can wave away the potential consequences by saying, "I accept all risks". No, no you don't. You can't. No way you can make it right if things go wrong and will just get a fancy new gig from Musk.
Oh my. That's pretty horribly bad and stupid. Really grateful for whistleblowers.
Well, that's another way to get rid of Social Security.
This was not a mistake
Oh ““I have determined the business need is higher than the security risk associated with this implementation and I accept all risks,” wrote Aram Moghaddassi”
Class action lawsuit? As citizens, we are GUARANTEED a reasonable right to privacy.
Wait, can I put my PIN number on that cloud too? Just trying to streamline the whole process (CF).
Well, I guess it's the end of privacy in America
Sounds like a rather large class action suit to me, among other things.
Omg that whole cast of characters, some of em still work there. Repubs gave away everything and every one of us. They're working to first kill our elderly parents, and are ensuring the rest of us get fckd out of owed benefits. All while losing our identities...makes it easier to ship us off.
