I try not to go wild on politics because I try to keep this a fun horny space, but being part of a persecuted minority makes that hard. The violence that occurred yesterday is a symptom of escalating chaos in America that has been growing steadily since 2016. It's why I left.
No one should die of gun violence. The fact that Dem lawmakers and conserv influencers are being murdered in cold blood is terrible and it is part and parcel with the rhetoric of hatred that is bandied and amplified by the US public and its mouths.
Everything in the US comes now with the threat of violent death. Elementary school. Going to the movies. Grocery shopping. Sleeping in your home. And as this threat grows and grows, all aspects of life and politics will get worse and worse. The chaotic spiral will amplify.
I can't stress enough that if you're reading this, you need a current passport, possibly apostilled birth and marriage certificates if available in your region, and as much cash as you can safely hold. You need to make a plan for your safety and - most importantly -
you need to DEFINE at what point you will activate your plan. No more "when it gets bad we go to Canada." Honey, it is already fucking bad, and Canada will not allow a flood of random Americans to enter indefinitely. You need to exactly define what "bad" means to you, and what you will do then.
I know this is stressful and scary but please just do one step a day. Just start. Pray you never have to use the passport or the plan. But by gods fuckin have them.
