A lot of us on the left are appreciating the 2nd A LOT more these days. Almost no one wanted guns banned - we want common sense laws (red flag, waiting periods, purchase limits, mandatory safe storage, insurance, mandatory reporting of stolen etc etc)

There's no need. It's statistically more likely to hurt a family member than an intruder. It certainly isn't a crime prevention tool. Suicide is very easy. I don't understand the need or fascination with guns. I agree with you about what's needed if we're going to have them in society.

Problem isn't the guns. The problem is that the balance between regulation and ownership rights is way out of balance in favor of ownership rights.
