There's more natural beauty along the Hudson Line than most states have entirely, and you can always rent a car to visit the Adirondacks which are one of the most scenic and underrated mountain ranges in the country

There’s a whole very famous school of art named after the Hudson River because it’s so pretty and I can get on a train on the Hudson Line almost any hour of any day if I want to go see the non-urban part! There’s very little about NYC you could say is underrated, but access to nature is one.
