If they gave a flying fuck about crime maybe they would try to address the root causes. Crime to Republicans is just a pretext for social control.

Poor people crime is what they care about, not corporate fraud or theft, insider trading ,or the kingpins of the drug trade etc. not even insurrectionists as they see them as their own little army. But they don't have social consciences at all.
