I'm not anti Ozempic because my Dad is on it (but he's axtuakk diabetic), but I do not like how people are just insisting that all fat people take it, and that it's the miracle cure for fatness
Bodily autonomy is what matters most. People should be able to do what’s right for them.
People seem to not understand that concept when it comes to fat people
my main concerns with ozempic are the health side effects and the desire for pharm companies to get people hooked on em forever. that plus all these rich assholes causing shortages for people who actually need it! but its a net positive for sure
I read this post earlier this morning & spent a good while kinda resonating on it bc I had an initial knee-jerk response I wanted to make. Anyway, the tl;dr is that I've decided there's nothing rly wrong with steroids use & I think I'm going to start taking steroids.
Okay
I think there's a number of different things it, but a fair number of people do seem weirdly hung up on needing obesity to be this important moral thing instead of just a health issue that we can solve. Like allergies. Or poor eyesight.
Like is even looks such a hierarchical status thing that you'd rather have more ugly people you can be better than, than just having more people around you think think are attractive? Maybe I'm just built different, but I'd rather have everyone be healthy, than be healthier than others.
