I truly believe we yearn to be good. But as selfish animals, that light is in constant conflict with the dark. Self reflection, accountability, and humility lift the spirit to seek balance and harmony. Arrogance and grievance depress the spirit towards anger, hate, and fear, where God cannot abide.
