Oh man, that's a whole other thread of educational madness right there.

There was a nextdoor post that pointed out how there was no need for parcel tax since all the new resident parents send their kids to tutoring places which are displacing all the beloved businesses.
I don't know how you can stand this long term exposure.
Yeah, except "displacing all the beloved businesses" is "filling vacant real estate where businesses failed" (and not always from landlord greed, though that's a problem.) We've also got a lot of gyms replacing dead mid-large retail.
Bill, how is it right that small business owners are allowed to retire when i like going to their small business once per decade?

Me in 2003: After several years of Kumon I swear to never put my own kid through it. Me in 2025: He’s three. Is it too soon to enroll him in Kumon?

And that's just the minimum baseline. You also need to start a $10MM AI ARR company or have a Phase 3 clinical trial going. Ideally both! How else are you going to get into a good school when the competition is so high for your ethnic group?
Once Trump closes all the colleges so that future generations can screw in the tiny screws on an iPhone, I guess this situation will be solved.
Shorter term, I keep wondering what happens if (when?) the eye of racist Sauron gets turned on the ol’ Valley of Heart’s Delight. What happens if there’s a push to “Americanize” the tech workforce?
What school’s/district’s stats are those? FUHSD?
Left: Lynbrook High Right: Harvard data
It's nuts
