I liked it just before the great post-election migration, when people used alt tags and you could shame them if they didn't. When block, don't fight was the rule and dunking on people was discouraged. But I like having my old Twitter friends back too. I just miss the friendlier culture.

one of the first friends I made online was also one of the smartest about the environment, and he had a rule that you should never have more than 1000 followers bc that's when accounts became bad, and he would arbitrarily block people when he got too close to the cutoff
