I have to disagree. I think the entire country needs to see what this child had to say. This should be rubbed in this face of every mother fucking Republican that makes this constant violence possible so that they understand this is real, not some abstraction or crisis actor.

Just way too soon in my opinion. But yes, we must see this. With a therapist and/or parent present preferably. It's so normalized now we take for granted how vulnerable and innocent kids are. The kid was just shot at. He's remarkably composed.

They probably have already done a lot of hugging. Instead of criticizing the parents they should be thanked for allowing him to speak. He came across as well adjusted. He spoke volumes to viewers. It brought tears to my eyes listening to him. Maybe he woke some listeners up.
"Oh Timmy, I'm sorry your friend just got shot while shielding you from bullets. Here's a hug and some bubble gum. Now go talk to the press." It just didn't sit well with me. And, indeed, it spoke volumes.
We could both be wrong about how this should have been handled. However, that young boy was so composed and articulate he seemed okay with the interview. Having the opportunity to talk about his brave friend Victor may have helped him. No one will know for sure for awhile.
