"Underperforming" is a word the industry uses instead of "failed" to describe not knowing how to project for investors reliably but also not wanting to just TELL those same investors "The $1 Billion guarantee even for 'AQUAMAN' days are over."
Even taking out own would-be autocrat government out of the equation, we're currently in a soft trade war and a proxy shooting war with two of the HUGE autocrat-patronage economies whose moviegoers had been inflating our global boxoffice in the 2000s-10s, but "we" can't say that out loud 🤷♂️

The problem with Thunderbolts and BNW wasn't that they didn't make money, it was that they cost so much that they would have had to make a billion just to make their budget back.
No they just made double their money back. That's not bad, but it's not as good as something like The Minecraft Movie or the live action Lilo and Stitch.
If Bob really thinks people with his job shouldn't be listened to, he should get another job. Moreover, he should take his own advice, stop complaining about people with his job complaining about popular things, and just like what he likes.
