I hate bananas. They're the one food I absolutely will not eat in any form without having any allergy or intolerance (that I know of). So this thing chasing me to try to make me buy bananas is right out of a nightmare.

... what in the hell?! there was a real human walking around TJ Maxx approaching shoppers with a sales pitch to sign us up for the store credit card and I could not get away from that obnoxious stupidity fast enough .. but the banana bot is arguably worse

On the other hand, I would feel less bad about being rude to the banana bot than I would to a real human. I wonder if you could nudge it in another direction like a Roomba. I did see a robot mopping floors in a store this week, but it wasn't bothering customers.

I'd complain, and then change groceries over something following me that I might have to touch a button to have it chase someone else.
