60 years ago, Medicare and Medicaid were signed into law. We should be working to strengthen these programs at every turn. Instead, Donald Trump and Republicans take every opportunity to weaken or destroy them.

They were supposed to cover every American citizen. They were designed for that. The insurance companies got them to cover only the sick, aged, and poor. As soon as you get too sick to work you are kicked out of private insurance. It’s a gamed system so insurance gets the healthy, wealthy, young.

As a woman and avid voter, the two issues I care about the most are: 1. Universal healthcare 2. Ending the cheating, racist electoral college. It bothers me this is the only time my vote doesn’t count Everything else will fall into place
