The footer literally says this is counting incidents where actual people were shot. Also, the number is 10x higher if you’re counting things like bullets falling on school campuses.

Yeah, but that little detail doesn't suit his narrative.

You know what? I fucked up. I admit when I do. Almost every time shootings are brought up, the facts are blown out of proportion, and someone rolling their ankle trying to get away can be counted as "injured during a shooting." You see it so often that I automatically assume the mines are wrong.

Well that's refreshing, good on you for admitting your mistake. So many people don't even attempt to do that I assumed you had just run off.

Nah. You know how it is. Stats get thrown up so often that are wrong and just stop looking at them and call them out. And so many stats are twisted they can't even really be considered. I'll take the L when it's an L.

The problem isn't even the stats, the people who put them together likely are skilled at there job and work hard to make them as accurate as possible, But there's so much distrust and misinformation that gets spread on purpose to make you distrust stats so that others can continue to profit.

If you're smart enough and want to, you can take any data set and word it to fit any agenda. To think people won't is just plain ignorant.

Of course you can, but being overly skeptical of every single bit of data you come across is a little ridiculous. Especially data that has been held up as accurate from multiple sources for literal decades, like the fact that school/mass shootings in the US and way way higher than any other country.
