Apparently they need to save $4.5 m in Texas so they decided closing schools was the best way.

Seattle Schools also need money. Yet the citizens demanded they find it elsewhere. There are many tech million-, billionaires in Seattle who've made the region expensive to live. I believe they are the ones who should pay their fair share and support Seattle schools, the future tech workforce.

I agree but, in the US right now, the ordinary folk simply don't matter. All that DOES matter is tax cuts for corporations and billionaires.
