Congress doesn't appoint Special Counsel, the DoJ does. And there is absolutely no chance that Pam Bondi would ever consider doing so. Hell, the DNI is a Russian asset. That's not an opinion, that's a proven fact. So Hegseth's transgressions are pretty mild in comparison.
