It's always hard to be a kid. Full stop. No matter who, no matter where. So if you know any kids, make sure you let them know they are doing great and you love them. If you don't, tell everyone else you know. It's just hard to human, isn't it?

It just seems harder to be a kid these days. I feel like society forces them to grow up too fast, particularly when it comes to violence at school. Like I never had shooter drills.

So true. And our first drill is coming up. I am glad we do it, but I hate making the kids think about it.

I just can’t help but feel it’s robbing them of their childhood and just inflicting trauma over and over.
