I still use what I learned in undergrad and grad school classes many years later, including the ability to articulate connections between two different things, the historical context of a current event, and underlying concepts that shape our world. But it's too easy to use ChatGPT for this stuff.

I’m an IT project manager and I can tell you that IT dudes are over the moon to push out and celebrate AI. It’s just another new toy and I freakin hate it. And it’s so easy to discern what is AI generated content. It’s sterile, boring, lacks creativity and is entirely predictable.

What kills me most is just...the lack of curiosity. One source in there said she just watches TikTok til her eyes hurt, she's not even going out and living life. Like what are we here on this planet FOR?!

You can also become glued to your phone literally at any point in life, but the time in college to learn, make friends, and try new things in a structured, safe, and walkable environment is a fixed and finite amount??

I wonder how much this not getting out is due to the pandemic, just living your whole life on your computer, not learning how to make friends or why they even matter. Not getting out and doing the cringe things you do when you try to find yourself.

I can also see this happening for a lot of non-college adults, because it requires sometimes awkwardly making plans with other people, showing up (even if you are tired or less interested than initially) and then putting time and effort into repeating the process.
