I think "learn how to get computers to do things systematically" should also obviously continue to be on the list, even as the specific form that knowledge takes continues to evolve

Not nearly enough high school graduates can write well. I imagine conversant second language learners are even fewer.

we need a new word to replace foolproof; when the state of the art technology demonstrably diminishes skills, it’s not actually protective of anything anymore.
