Applying math to this stuff always brings things into focus. No wonder we’re so ungovernable. You couldn’t rule this country through force if you were competent.

You’re off by an order of magnitude. SA in 1932 started at about 400,000. It peaked at about 3 million once they were in power and able to recruit openly.

Sorry, was operating off of what I could find on Wikipedia. The numbers I pulled were for all US armed forces across all branches, not just the army
