switching between posting mode and work mode is mostly not a big deal but trying to remember that I need to capitalize letters and use punctuation in work emails is difficult sometimes

People read them?
I’m there right now. Gotta go…..
And when posting you have to remember not to end every line with a semicolon ;
Remember to keep your work communication below 300 characters
i draw the line at teams messages, i am not making the effort for those
this is true, nobody needs to capitalize anything in chat
And particular fucking *teams* Slack I’ll at least grant the dignity of an IRC instance but *teams*?
i’ll have none of your slack privilege, all these tools are trash
Slack at least has the better emoji?
I will be in the cold cold ground before a capital letter appears in the memo field of any general journal entry I make.
Use them in both. Makes life easier for you and easier for those who read your ramblings!
I definitely used lmk in a work email this week and what you need to know is if they want to let me know they can lmk
Upon review it may have been a Teams chat
At Microsoft I recall a very senior exec who always sent mails with no caps or punctuation. In fact, that skeet could’ve been one of his emails.
I once wrote a very polite email to the Microsoft CS and got a reply from like the Head of Customer Support Europe that ended in "Cheers, Lisa" Well, thanks for getting my issue resolved, Lisa.
it’s less than 10% of a sentence by character it’s fine
some hoity-toity work!
for me it’s deciding to care when reviewing PRs. Jiras are proper sentences though
