yeah that's the part that makes me optimistic about him as mayor, he seems to understand the need for coalition-building on a deep level and is working very hard to set up a base to get things done after the election

It’s so obvious the media is going to cover ZM unbelievably unfairly, he’s smart to work on growing his popularity and support as much as possible before he is Mayor and NYT et all excoriate him

That’s really key. To really get anything done you need a very broad coalition. And he’ll have powerful interests arrayed against him. And outside of an election cycle those interests get more powerful
