yes, you don't have the same propaganda infrastructure that means you need to be even MORE strident about it, because you're not fighting on a level playing field

They should have forcibly shut down all the right wind propaganda news channels by force and arrested Joel Berry and his online propaganda network.
They don’t have the propaganda machine = how the fuck would we know how strident they are? To rephrase: let me tell you about this tree that fell in the woods…
No propaganda machine =\ no outlet
Revolt. Primary. Sink em. - me, a former Republican thoroughly grossed out.
you'd think they would learn something about the value of repetition in propaganda from going toe to toe with Bernie for half a decade
They refuse to learn from Bernie.
I mean, people spend a lot of money to persuade/advertise a lot of self evidently good and useful things! It’s weird to think this is the ONE area where a coherent message isn’t necessary to bring people to your side!
the thing is, they have in fact had success during that exact time period the 2006 midterms were won, in large part, on "look at how fucking corrupt these motherfuckers are" the information environment is much worse than it was in 2006, but it's a winning argument!
Essentially democrats were raised on zero tolerance policies in schools. That's the psychological result. "You're wrong if you resist, you're wrong if you argue, you're wrong if you fight". And who were proponens of these policies? Riiight,GoP.
In retrospect, they did not make near enough ruckus about W, and it feels like the "let everything go to hell and win the backlash" was exactly what they learned from 2006.... either way, I agree with your main point.
that's what makes me upset about anti-corruption voters going for MAGA because of "EVERYONE IS CORRUPT" when yes, corruption is a problem and voting for the corrupt because he's saying what you feel isn't gonna fix it.
