morbidly curious if there is any level of Tesla sales cratering that would cause the bubble to pop or if Elon could get up on stage and talk about humanoid robots and send the stock to the moon without selling a single car

That would require a financial media that wasn't actively engaged with promoting the grift.
Since he got his hands on certain files through his 'work' at DOGE, Elon's guaranteed a massive stock boom whenever he says anything in public not related to Jeffrey Epstein. 😄
Tesla is a vestigial organ me thinks.
Tesla's stock price has no relationship to its business and hasn't for some time. It's purely vibes based on what Musk says the company will be doing at some (always changing) point in the future.
I keep thinking institutional holders of Tesla are playing a game of musical chairs or Jenga with their investors' money that's utterly problematic from a fiduciary point of view
Oh totally. I seriously doubt the bean counters at mutual funds buy the Musk bullshit and when some retirees get wiped out because their IRAs, through no fault of their own, were over-exposed to TSLA, I'm sure we'll get some interesting whistleblower reports and information from lawsuits.
I recently switched my retirement accounts to a new advisor & when I told them not to invest in any company owned or run by Musk, they said they don’t anyway. They don’t see any of his companies as good long-term investments.
Any other company that had a complete dud of a product that was hyped for YEARS like Tesla had with the Cybertruck would have seen its share price collapse for months if not years. But it was just brushed off like a minor hiccup.
It's only genuinely new product enclosed to a decade in a rapidly innovating industry where they had early mover advantage that they had almost completely run out.
Which is however why the bubble should have burst when Tesla's sales crashed... Because Tesla was supposed to dominate the world... now it's just one of many with Volkswagen gaining on them fast. And the Chinese are the talk of the town.
Admitting that would be admitting that the last decade of his success and meteoric rise was also mostly shambolic and a scam that they got taken in by
at this point, Musk is toxic. You don't just go full Nazi in a post WWII world and expect laughter and applause. Wearing his all black get up and a continual scowl doesn't help. Best thing he could do for Tesla [and the world] is just fuck all the way off
The complete inability for people to see past his clear and obvious lying nature, his inability to deliver on anything on anything resembling a schedule. Accountability is an entirely foreign idea in his orbit, which is ironic because he couldn't manage to find the orbit of a whole ass planet!
Probably his and the other AI bros companies have bailout shields till 28
The rich are stupid, hence the stakeholders are stupid
Had to check... Dropped a bit on the news but still above what it was at the beginning of the week...
Iirc their price to earnings ratio is the highest in the fortune 500 companies, almost double the next corp.
And it's like 20x other car companies that sell a whole lot more.
them self driving cars gonna come out any day now, just you see
It's just gonna be the government buying them out like the banks, only this time it'll be because he'd the presidents buddy.
Elon's brand and devoted fan base make up for like 80% of the stock value. They can never get rid of him, he is the most important asset.
The interesting question is what happens if Elon suddenly wins himself a Darwin Award w. his increasingly erratic behaviour. Do the masterful gambit sirs dump their stock if he's no longer there to "believe" in?
It is impossible for Tesla stockholders to admit at this point just how badly they're fucked as it would involve admitting how blindly idiotic they've been for the past five years.
Really cool having an economic system whereby a person gets so wealthy that they simply cannot and will not ever lose that wealth and can only possibly continue to accrue more. Stupendous stuff really.
I firmly believe this will all come crashing down on him eventually. The longer it goes, the worse the crash will be.
Since he's using SpaceX to prop up Tesla, and Tesla is supporting Xitter, and it's all dependent on the government subsidies he receives, Elon would be in a very precarious position. Luckily, those files he copied while at DOGE will make sure the government money keeps flowing for a while yet.
bUy ThE dIp!1!
Bro did a nazi salute and keeps posting his animated AI sexbot. Only force will collapse the system now.
Have to assume that Tesla were lobbying the government in Canada HARD to maintain the insane import tariffs on Chinese EVs. If those gimmes disappear the sales outlook is bleak in NA too
It’s turning into a classic Ponzi scheme. Each quarter he moves the goalpost to the next technology that’s going to produce exponential growth, without having achieved any of the previous promises.
just gonna run out of bigger fools. There's a lot of them these days, but they aren't infinite.
