you can see it in his polling numbers - his very worst marks are on the economy, and I expect those to get worse still the open question is how far he can push things before his party has to face voters again

My understanding is that we’re just now starting to get through the surplus that retailers ordered pre-tariffs. Once that is gone, some things are gonna get real scarce and real expensive.
