one of the reasons I love Granny so much is that she sees everyone as an unruly child who needs to cut their nonsense out and the more powerful the entity the more they annoy her the gods of the disc being a quite ridiculous bunch, this bears out pretty well
I also think a lot about Granny Weatherwax's take on how to be faithful, per CARPE JUGULUM:
"Here and Now, you are Alive" and "Sin, young man, is when you treat people as things. Including yourself. That's what sin is." are two of my moral guiding stars.

There's a quote I can't quite place, I feel like it might have been in Thud, something about 'Oh great table, without which we are naught' about the experience of believing in gods that you know are real.
Nanny is more powerful, theoretically I think, but Granny is just... one of the unmoving pillars that holds up the universe, basically.
Nanny is better at headology, iirc, but Granny is the better witch

This bit always reminds me of the Jewish story of the new kind of oven. After arguing for some time if it could prepare kosher food, God Himself sent a message to the rabbis in burning letters on a wall, only for the men to rebuke Him for ruling by fiat instead of logic - and He demurred.
