He might not have touched ground in Italy. If he was in the Marine I 'copter as it was unloaded from Air Force I, he might be considered in US Jurisdiction, not on Italian ground. The Vatican is a separate, independent state. Anybody know for sure?

But Vatican is no own country, it´s part of Italy, as well as Sicilia or Calabria. Maybe an own state, but not an own country.
