I care as long as this conversation lasts. Then it will be over and I'll probably forget as the next thing grabs my attention, until it's brought up again and the argument will continue until it ends and I'll forget about it again.

I don't think I'd hurt others, that's not me. I will definitely take myself out when there isn't anything left to live for. There's a threshold in which most cross that sets them on that path, when there is nothing to live for or too painful to continue. I think there's maybe 20 years to go still
I've seen people die and I have experienced people losing the will to live. It's lifechanging, a new perspective on mortality and the nobility of death on chosen terms.
