But was it a real warrant, or an administrative warrant?
Only judges can issue search warrants so, assuming the article was correct, they had a judicial warrant.
If they were following the law, they would have a judicial warrant. I have no confidence they were within the law though. The ICE goons pretend that administrative warrants are warrants, and they act on this delusion.
I get where you’re coming from but this is just a case of standard, run of the mill, police trampling rights because they’re very bad at their jobs.
Likely they’re specifically not educated as to the difference. Don’t want them actually knowing the proper procedure, they might follow it!
But not for these people.
But why not verify first, provide information on which agencies participated? This is a cover-up and abuse of power. When will they just start entering homes of non white people without warrents? Sorry, I'm angry
Anger is definitely warranted and I’m not trying to downplay what happened. I’m just saying this isn’t an escalation like arresting judges. Something like this probably happened a dozen times today across the US but with local PD not ICE.
At least if it’s local PD you know where the police station is. In this case, Trump goons came in, brutalized the residents and stole their stuff and their money, and now the residents don’t even know who the goons were and where to go to get their stuff back.
So scary
ICE can send us to foreign prisons, and we never get back. That's the scary part.
Apparently, it doesn't matter anymore.
