Not dead. But not growing, which seems bad for social media. Also the pace of innovation seems to have slowed (I'd like to know where's the subscription option they promised a long while back)

I think that's also related to bot/scam detection and suppression. Constant growth is basically fraud in all economic systems and it also applies to user base. Besides when something gets too big the 5th horse of monetising/enshittering kicks in destroying the product/platform over time.

I’m not sure what the long term viability is for any text-based social media app, but I will go out on a limb and say that Bluesky’s prospects look a hell of a lot better than X/Twitter’s! 😂

I really enjoy @bluesky. Seems a little more honest.

Over 38 Million "Users". Still substantially less than Twit, however many of those accounts are fake/bots. Yes, some bots appearing on Blue-sky, its inevitable. However I suspect admin here more vigorous in deleting them. Dev has slowed, but Twit wasn't built overnight.

My understanding is that Blue sky is attending the funeral of Truth Social and Twitter X. They will be able to answer your question after services for the recently deceased Truth Social and X have ended. Thank you for your patience.
