For certain, but I think/hope that he does have a unique ability to hold the coalition together and his absence will reveal many fractures and weaknesses.
It’ll be interesting to watch because for a significant percentage of supporters, it’s a cult of personality. Like they will believe gas is $1.80 a gallon even as they are paying $3.50 for it. But will they believe it when Vance says it?
