The Labour leadership not supporting PR was something I didn't understand earlier as Labour were guaranteed to retain power with support from the Lib Dems and Greens. Today I think with PR they would still hold power, but only because they would be supported by the rump of the Tory party.

But still they went to keep FPTP, almost guaranteeing they will disappear back into opposition at the next election. They won't bring in Leveson 2 to control the newspaper, in case the papers attack them. Yet they attack them anyway whilst ignoring all the good things they are doing anyway.

Labourer have such a majority they can ignore all the critics and get on with improving ordinary people's lives while limiting the power of the wealthy. But it's as if they are in a minority coalition with the Tories and terrified of upsetting people with power while ignoring the rest of us.
