That's not working. All it is doing is creating a bubble of unreality disconnected from the real world. Reality: most politicians remain on Twitter. Most media types remain on Twitter. What they say influences public opinion. Therefore if you deliberately ignore it you're disconnected from reality.

Hang on a minute. I think he might be on to something here: make the display of the Union flag and the St. George’s flag so commonplace and welcomed by everybody, and you wrest the symbolism of them from the far right nationalists and racists, who then need a different, less emotive, symbol to grab.

And as divisive as ever: He is not the PM of England but of the UK. Why is he insulting Scotland, Wales and NI? Now it’s just English ‘working people’ he claims to represent, is it?
