Yes, absolutely. Our seats have become so gerrymandered, the vast majority of them never change hands. They are just benchwarmers and that’s how they like it.

I was just thinking that too. They can fund raise off of it and never have to do anything. I’m not sure people understand what it’s gonna take to destroy oligarchy.

Yes. And there was a bipartisan border bill a while back that got shot down with pressure from trump. Because he would have nothing to campaign on if the perceived issue was handled. They’re all the same, fix things just enough so people accept it but not too much, so they can keep getting $$

Take away the benefit and lure of getting into office. They care more about getting rich than actually legislating in any way.
