People whose grandparents would not have been able to get into this country under current immigration laws are out here telling others to go back where they came from, LOL. People can be truly ridiculous.

My own mother is one of those. She refuses to acknowledge the differences between trying to come here in 1960 & now. She "did it the right way" but refuses to see others can't do that now. No way would she have waited 20 years to come here, no way!

As someone with Mayflower ancestors on one side of the family, this is one of the most maddening things to me. Just willful ignorance. Also has anyone noticed a shift recently with people like this trying to reframe their immigrant colonizer ancestors as conquerors? 😤
