But it absolutely matters that they voted for incompetence & mismanagement out of spite if those transcripts are to be believed. Their city officials failed in their duties as responsible stewards of the community & its resources.

Most states and local governments aren't prepared or equipped to manage disasters of this or even lesser magnitudes without Fed support. I hope those people haven't died in vain & lessons are learned from this to improve emergency management & incident response preparations & plans.

They don't need to hear it now but they will need to recon with that aspect of these tragedies as some point. Elections can have deadly consequences. That's not breaking news but it's going to be the ongoing reality for most of us.
