I think he's different than the Sarah Gideons and Amy McGrath's of the world because this guy is actually out doing the work. I was skeptical as well until I read the ana marie cox piece, as well as his reddit ama (namely lgbtq support).

also, the fact that he hasn't gotten support from schumer makes him more likeable IMO. I think that will resonate.
