I went to my mom’s house to pick up her copy of Katharine Hepburns autobiography “ME”…she couldn’t find it, but let me borrow the four other books (one of which is a photo book) about Katharine she had. I’m so sorry for who I’m about to become.

Her longest and dearest friend Laura Harding (American Express heiress) said her first thought upon meeting Katharine was “She’s not my type” (she meant in friends…but there has been a lot of speculation about their friendship)

Her Time Person of the Year photoshoot was very Katharine Hepburn-inspired. She was one who managed to not burn out young, to have a long life and career, despite how hard it was for women from her era to do so. Also famously a Sewing Circle member!

Yes! Time POTY was what first made the connection for me. And oh some of her quotes have really sent me spinning. I’m making a PowerPoint about some of the main points. She also had so much art and was an artist herself! She painted seagulls!
